Based in Burlington and serving the GTHA, Southern Ontario, and Parry Sound's cottage country, Guildstone specializes in natural stone masonry for luxury homes, cottages, estates, buildings, and landscapes. We work with materials that have shaped Ontario’s architectural identity for generations — full-bed limestone, fieldstone, granite, sandstone, and architectural stone and precast — creating custom exterior facades, fireplaces, interior stone features, landscape stonework, and handcrafted cottage installations. Guildstone was created from a deep respect for the timeless craft of stone masonry — a trade shaped by centuries of master masons who carved, lifted, and laid each stone with intention. Their work still stands today in castles, bridges, churches, and old-world homes that time could not break. At Guildstone, that legacy is not only remembered — it’s carried forward with every project we build.
Stone masonry is one of the oldest crafts on earth. Long before power tools or machines, everything was built by hand. Those early masons didn’t simply construct buildings; they created legacies. Guildstone exists to honour and pay homage to those legacies while keeping their craftsmanship alive in modern luxury homes buildings, and landscapes.
After 25 years as a mason, I’ve learned that great masonry is more than installation. It’s a discipline. A tradition. A commitment to precision, proportion, and patience. I’ve spent my career studying how the old masters worked: how they shaped stone by hand, kept courses aligned, balanced symmetry, and selected the perfect piece for the perfect place. Guildstone was built to pay homage to those masons, to honour their craftsmanship, and to carry their methods forward in the structures and landscapes we build today.
Every Guildstone project is approached with that same respect for tradition — combined with modern techniques, high-performance materials, and a perfectionist’s eye for detail. We currently and intentionally take on projects up to 1,000–1,500 sq. ft. of stonework, depending on the material and design, to ensure every build receives the attention and quality that true masonry demands. Timelines matter, and so does craftsmanship — Guildstone is structured so clients never have to sacrifice one for the other.
Our work includes custom exterior stone facades, fireplaces, interior stone features, architectural stone details, landscape masonry, and cottage/lakefront installations.
